In order to participate in Minisink Valley Aquatics in Senior Group, swimmers must be able to complete all Pre-Senior goals and criteria. Senior Group is our highest level training group. Swimmers 13 and up are eligible for this program.
Achieving personal goals is at the core of this program. Practice priority is placed on advanced energy zones training. Attention is also given to advanced stroke mechanics, race planning and strategies, nutrition and mental training. Senior group athletes must be physically and mentally prepared to commit to consistent, higher training year round, from September through August. Dry land programs will be incorporated into select practices as well as Spring and/or Summer Seasons.
All ESSL TEAM MEETS and all HOME USS Meets are MANDATORY.
Senior Group practices five (5) days week for two (2) hours per day.
Practices are held Monday-Friday between 5:15 and 7:15 PM.
We recommend attending at least 5 practices per week.
